Aroma: first impression- spirity, bit bitter. Give it some time to breath. Nice hints of smoke and oak comes quickly. Also peppermint and ripe apples, citrus fruits. Peanuts and anisee seeds. Lollipops from the childhood with vanilla notes.
Palate: first impression is woody and dry. Then it is replaced by apples (even apple cider), liquorice, aniseed and quince.
Aftertaste: fruity, dry and bit zesty.
Comments: balance of japanese whisky does good impression very often I never had dull japanese whisky (single malt at least). Pleasant, robust, with good balance and complexity in it's age category.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
