Aroma: pleasant chocolate notes with hazelnuts, burnt sugar, raisins, figs, matured rum, sherry. Old wood, roasted almonds, autumn leaves, leather and tobacco. Deep and rich aroma. With water I get more orange, orange peel, honey.
Palate: honey with spices, black tea, orange jam, ripe fruits - mango, tangerines, grapefruit, pears. Tobacco, leather, wood. With water spice and fruits mix shine again. Finish: bit dry, delicate, long enough. With notes of wood, tobacco and spices.
Comments: great! I had grassy, bourbon matured Littlemills before only. Sherry cask added another dimmension to this shy malt. Deep, robust. Nice mix of dry wood and spicy fruitiness.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
