Aroma: sweet peat, spiced herbs, bit of orange liqueur, baked apples, walnut oil. Dry smoke, bandages, bit of diesel. Needs water for sure. With water citrus fruits comes first, then smoke and smoked ham in the back.
Palate: sweetish, dry smoke with notes of lemon and orange. Mint, eucalyptus, pears. Fresh cut wood, walnuts. Thre comes nice balance with water - citrus fruits, pepper and smoke. Reminds me bit of maritime lemony style of Caol Ila. Finish: dry, smoky, salty with  notes of pears and chalk.
Comment: great. I could take it for Caol Ila in blind. Maritime, well balanced. Not a huge character, but everything's fine. Sherry cask gives some nice nutty notes.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
