Aroma: smoked mackerel, iodine, grass and lime peel notes. Medicine box, dry smoke, burnning rubber and black tea. Really aggressive in a good sense - grassy and smoky.
Palate: what a kick - smoke in all possible froms from ashes and fire smoke to burning rubber, iodine and motor oil. Notes of lime and apple peel. All that is wrapped in a salty smoky ashy mix. Very maritime, salty. Finish: salty, full of ashes and grass with vanilla trace. But surprisingly short for such a body.
Comment: I won't be guessing, but it should be young. Grassiness and vanilla could point to that. But I like overall result anyway. Price is not low, so I would consider it for the next purchase vs Quarter Cask. It can be put aside Ardbeg Corryvreckan easily.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
