Aroma: sweet peat, seaweed, sea breeze. Lemon, orange jam, baked apples with pungent pepper notes.
Palate: sweet with hints of tropical frui, ripe oranges. Pepper, liquorice, almond and bit of dry wood. Full flavored and interesting. Finish: warm, maritime with fruit and salt.
Comment: full bodied, pleasant, reminds me some Islay oldies. Good balance of sea character and fruit. I think recent Laphroaig is much more less of this style.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
