Aroma: sweet peat, smoked bacon. Notes of farm, earth, bit of motor oil and coal.
Palate: maritime, salty with notes of ashes, vanilla and sweet peat. Coal, motor oil. Good mix of citrus fruits and smoke. Finish: salty, with notes of vanilla, lemon, coffee, ash and smoke.
Comment: simple, robust, bit shy, but regarding strength - fine malt with good character. Everyday dram, still good value.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
