Aroma: wood polish, orange trace, thyme, other herbs. Leather, earth, cinnamon and walnuts. Full and keeping fresh enough. Wax, milk chocolate.
Palate: nice nuttiness here, leather, black tea pointing to sherry maturing. Sweet chocolate, mint, wax. More and more herbs, the same were in aroma. Then leather and grapefruit peel. Finish: long, warm, with notes of leather, mint and nuts.
Comments: nice, without significant flaws. Keeping in mind it's about 12 years of age, this one is even better then. Almost usual situation - no dissappointment with Japanese malt - do they have something mediocre there?

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
