Aroma: honey, ripe fruits. Tiny bit of vanilla, burned wood.
Palate: sweet, pleasant. Honey, peppermint. Ripe apples, pears. Bit of citrus fruits and vanilla. Complete classics. Fine, but boring. Finish: sweetish, with notes of vanilla and honey, bit short.
Comment: good, classic, but boring. I love their XXV, but in 18yo league there are so many better malts and some very similar like Glenfiddich or Glenmonrangie (which both I find more to my liking). Fruity, honeyed malt is good, but not good enough.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
