Aroma: grass, caramelized sugar, wood polish notes. Orange liqueur, ripe apricots, peaches and wood. Bit of old library. With water I get more fruits, aroma becomes fuller and more complex. Wood notes are very present.
Palate: wood, spices, bit of honey and wood polish. Traces of nuts with orange jam and pepper. Plenty of vanilla and caramel - much more then in aroma. Water do not alter much, spices, caramel, grass and banana peel. Fresh - peppermin, green tea. Finish: bit bitter with notes of wood and caramel. Not super long finish, especially with water.
Comment: full and interesting malt, nice with water. Should suit those, who do not like malt overwhelmed by smoke or sherry cask influence. Very nice aroma, longer I nose, the better. To add water and time.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
