Aroma: honey, pepper and wax. Ripe pears and tangerines in honey with spices. Wood notes, lemon and vanilla. With water I get more malty and waxy notes, that complement citrus freshness well.
Palate: sweet and nice(sweet!)  - lemon drops with pepper and mint. Fruity and fresh, with water fruitiness stays, comes more grapefruit notes with dip of wax. Finish: spicy and long with lemon and pepper notes followed by wax.
Comments: I wasn't so keen on this style few years ago. When it's cold outside, such malt - great dram to warm body and soul. Clear character with good warmth.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
