Aroma: sweet peat with lemon and drops of honey. Wet wood coal and salt. Feels like sitting to bonfire at the sea on the rain. Water gives more fruitiness - lemon notes, also pineapple and orange.
Palate: gentle smoke and salt trace mix well with fruits and wood. NIce notes of lemon, orange peel, pineapple. Honey, oranges with some peppermint and aniseed. Finish: warm, delicate, lots of lemon drops and salt.
Comments: water is not necessary (at least for me), it's enough to give time to it and let the bouquet to open up. I was surpised by it's complexity and variety. It develops really well during the time. Cautious, delicate Caol Ila. I love that character of lemon drops with pepper. HIs time it's so elegant and wonderful.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
