Aroma: fresh aroma of citrus fruits with spices and just hints of peat. Some litchi and pineapple. Butter. With water peat becomes more present. Lemon drops also. Palate: citrus and tropical fruits with honey. Salty. Some aniseed or liquorice. Bitter grapefruits. With water more bitterness and citrus fruit. Very nice. Finish: pleasant, salty and nutty. Comments: nice character - fresh, salty, bit fruity with trace of peat.
The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
