Aroma: sweet peat, white pepper, typical for Caol Ila (I love it). This one is bit more fruity than younger distillery expressions. Ripe pear, pepper. Sea brine. Trace of eucalyptus and resin.
Palate: peat and pepper. Hints of lemon zest and saltiness. Lot of power still for its age. It is nice that there is great harmony of peat, pepper and lemon zest. I love this style!
Aftertaste: long and warm, peaty and peppery.
Comments: nice and powerful. Youngster for it's age!

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
