Aroma: grappa, plum liqueur. Honey, sweet peat, baked apples and hint of ash. More and more notes of a burnt caramel. Interesting mix. Needs some time and water. With water lemon, ash and sea notes are dominating. Some dry charred wood and almonds.
Palate: burnt wood, coal, ash, peppermint and salt. Narrow and closed. With water good harmony of fruit and ash takes place. Shy malt. With time I get more fruity, lemony notes and caramel, wrapped in a maritime profile. Finish: bit salty and dry. Ashes, lemon peel.
Comment: I couln't understand it at the beginning. Strong alcohol influence while undiluted. With time and water everything comes in place - maritime, clean, narrow profile.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
