Aroma: poweful caramel at the start. Maple syrup, cramelized sugar. Bit of rum style. Spicy raisins, other dried fruits. Apricot, mandarine, grapes jam. With water comes more raisins. Palate: oak tannins, spices, damp earth. Some hints of steel, struck matches. Oily. Jam of mixed fruits. Finish: fruity and spicy with lots of raisins and cacao. Comments: very deep aroma and palate. INteresting notes of steel and struck matches. This time I kind of liked it. Multidimmensional one. I am sure it has it's fans.
The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
