Aroma: spiced herbs, bit of grass and mashed potatoes. Wood polish. Slightly salty. Ripe apples and oranges in the background.
Palate: bit dry and salty. Peppers and aniseed. Banana peel, green tea, mushrooms, potatoes, grapefruits. More salt. Vegetables soup with mushrooms. Finish: warm, medium long, notes of peppermint, thyme with wood polish.
Comment: closed, tricky - kind of maritime (?). Not surprisingly good. I was expecting more mature character from such age. Much more. I would like to have more fruity side to counter-balance salty, vegetal character.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
