Aroma: clear maritime notes with trace of smoke. Quiet sweet. Apples, lemons. Banana. Vanilla. Tiny bit of sweet peat mixed with ripe fruit.
Palate: nutty notes with gentle pepper and dry cedar wood. Bit of burnt malt and liquorice. Bit of ripe fruits. Finish: bit salty, with traces of wood and nuts.
Comment: aroma is really nice, taste not so good. Arran call it peated. Is is really light in that. If that the goal was, to have lightly peated malt, they did it. But it can't be hoped to put it on the same line with really peated malts.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
