Aroma: toasted oak, vanilla and brioche. Ginger, cured ham with herbs. Water brings more lemony and fruity notes. Still, vanilla with lemon drops is dominating.
Palate: sweet at the beginning with vanilla, green apples and lemon notes. Then saltiness and grass comes out. Trace of ash. I believe water will bring out even more sweetness. Yes and no - this malt becomes much more balanced. Vanilla and lemon are here, but grassy and salty side is equally participating. Finish: bitter, grassy and bit ashy.
Comment: this lemony, grassy style with bit of ash is really to my liking, but I still need to find best dilution proportion. Because I have a feeling this malt has more to say, but I still can't hear it.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
