Aroma: pepper, sweet peat, citrus and smoke. Briny notes with some hints of medicine.
Palate: coal, bonfire smoke, tar and rubber. Pepper and lemon. Powerful and shiny.  Hints of gras and zest. Oily and strong, good without water.
Finish: warm, peppery and salty, long.
Comments: I think it's my favorite "standard" Ardbeg. Expressive and powerfull.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
